BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY

Biographical drama based on the life of paraplegic Viet-vet Ron Kovic, (who co-wrote the screenplay) recounting his transformation from All-American combat soldier to ardent anti-war activist. Oscar nominee Tom Cruise gives and outstanding performance as Kovic, who, through the slow process of recovery from the confines of his wheelchair, begins to question the very essence of his own and his country’s involvement in a meaningless war.
