IT'S ALL TRUE

Synopsis:

World-premiered in October 1993 at the New York Film Festival, this French-backed documentary is an assemblage of lost footage about Orson Welles' aborted 1942 three-part Latin American film "It's All True." The first half-hour of the documentary sketches the events surrounding Welles' trip to Brazil to shoot a major documentary. The second half offers snippets of "Carnaval" materials, an entire sequence from "My Friend Bonito," and the presentation of "Four Men on a Raft."
