Synopsis:
An investigating assistant DA is after a boyhood friend, a numbers runner who has lost his girlfriend to a mob boss. However, after the racketeer climbs the underworld ladder and wins her back, both the DA and the jilted mobster are trying to put him away. Based on Harold Robbins' novel "Never Love a Stranger."
